What Home Means

Home is more than a building. It is community, safety, and hope. It is a meal from our kitchen, a conversation with a Care Minister, women getting their nails done in the Women’s Center, and moments of prayer and worship at church. Each person’s journey to home is different, and over the next few weeks we will share stories that show what home truly means, including belonging, care, and connection, for every person we meet.

Discover What Home Means at OurCommunity

Next month, after years of prayer and preparation, OurCommunity will open its doors to its first residents. This is more than a place to live. It is a space where our most vulnerable neighbors can find rest, safety, and the care they need to thrive.

A few weeks ago, potential residents toured OurCommunity. When asked what “home” means to them, no one mentioned a house. Instead, they spoke of feeling safe at night, being free from worry, and being surrounded by people who care.
