What we believe

  • We believe the Bible is inspired by God (it is His Word) and thus inerrant in the original writings. It is the supreme and final authority for faith and life.
  • We believe there is one God who eternally exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
  • We believe people are created in the image of God; however, because of Adam and Eve’s disobedience, the divine image is defaced in all humanity and all creation cursed.
  • We believe that because of our inherited sin condition and the willful breaking of God’s laws, humans are both physically and spiritually dead, destined for judgment and eternal punishment.
  • Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. As the Son of God in human flesh, Jesus is fully God and fully man.
  • We believe Jesus Christ lived a sinless life, died as the sinner’s substitute and was raised bodily from the dead in order to pay the penalty of our sin, which is death, and reconcile us to God and each other. His atonement promises the recreation of all things.
  • We believe people are saved from their sin and reconciled to God by grace through faith alone in Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and was raised from the dead.
  • We believe the Holy Spirit indwells and gives spiritual life to all believers, enables us to understand truth, empowers us for godly living, and equips us for service and witness.
  • We believe Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church, His Body, which is composed of every person, living and dead, who is joined to Him through saving faith.
  • We believe that living a life that pleases God and is consistent with His character is our daily act of worship and not a condition for salvation.
  • We believe in the sanctity of life, marriage, and the family.
  • We believe in the resurrection of the dead, the return of Christ to the earth, and His eternal reign on a recreated earth.
