Join us once again as we partner with Operation Care Dallas and serve over 10,000 homeless men, women and children at the Dallas Convention Center. Last year’s event included:
- 10,000+ guests attended, some falling in line outside the Dallas Convention Center in the early morning hours (homeless men, women and children)
- 2,200+ caring volunteers from across the nation (giving their time, energy and love)
- 676 professions of faith, praise God for His compassion and mercy!
- 8,700 meals served by the Texas Baptist Men (37,000 drinks: Gatorade, bottled water and soft drinks were donated by Quaker Oats and the Texas Food Bank)
- 350 pallets of goods (blankets, shoes, coats, sleeping bags, clothing and personal care products: 24 pallets were trucked in from Pennsylvania)
- Using 7 buses, 575 homeless guests were given free round-trip transportation from Fort Worth, Arlington, Irving and North Dallas.
- 198 partners and organizations joined forces in order to bless our homeless guests.
- Some of our guests were able to reunite with their families by placing a call on cell phones.
- Thousands of feet were washed and treated in the Foot Washing area, where new shoes and socks brought smiles (and sometime tears) to many!
- Extensive media coverage – CNN and local TV Stations, Channels 4, 8, 11 & 33, and the Dallas Morning News.
- Letter of Proclamation from the Mayor of Dallas, Tom Leppert and a call of support from the White House.
- thousands of toys were given to children in need.
