Tonight we are supposed to start a life skills class at the Bridge. lifeskillsWe have been given the green light and I am so excited!

We will cover topics such as:

Personal Dignity – Character – Relationships – Ethics  Hygiene – Addictions – Life Purpose – Honesty
Money Management – Responsibilities – Tolerance
Communication – Forgiveness – Keeping a job
Accountability – Anger – Fear – Stress – Life Management

We spoke about this to MDHA almost a year ago and now it is coming to fruition. Please pray for us and the men and women who will come to the class.

I know that homeless can’t be solved by a sandwich, a bed or a class. But I’ve also come to recognize that there is an answer to all of life’s problems. My struggle has been acknowledging that answer and applying it to my life.

This is not a Bible study.  This is a look at the common problems that all men face and real world solutions.

  1. Wayne,

A friend just sent me this website. It is wonderful and you are wonderful for doing this work for the Lord. I used to go downtown with Rip Parker years ago and it was the hugest blessing to me, I’d like to be a part of it again. Can you tell me a bit more about the Bridge and the Life Skills that you conduct? I saw the location of the Bridge but wasn’t certain if the Library meant the Public Library downtown? I looked around on the website but wasn’t certain where I should go. Since I probably will be coming by myself, I didn’t know the best place to go first to become re-involved.

    Keep up the great work!
    Julie Randle
